How to find the perfect Backyard Wedding Venue
Hi! I’m Pam, owner and operator of a Backyard Wedding Venue called Tree House in Vero Beach, Florida. I designed the venue myself on my family’s farm and have personally hosted over 250 weddings. I’m here to tell you that mixing that down-to-earth garden ambiance with elevated service is the KEY to the perfect wedding day.
Aesthetics: Tree House’s vibe is a casual elegance that embraces nature. The modern architecture is simple, clean, & pairs well with the outdoors. The natural beauty surrounding the venue is very Florida. Think lush gardens, beautiful oak trees, rows of tropical palms, and vast amounts of green. The grounds are meticulously maintained while still feeling like it is someone’s back yard. We are not going for the all-inclusive resort look that is fake when you look close. Tree House is for the couple who loves gardening, being outdoors, & exploring in nature.
Location: Places are super important. You’ll have a connection to the town you got married in, well, forever. Maybe you want to be married in your home town. Maybe you’re looking at a town that has a special connection for you, like visiting a beloved family member for years. Maybe you’re looking for a place that’s completely new to everyone, a chance to explore & see new sights. Vero Beach is all of those things. If you’re from here, you know. Vero Beach is a super rare unique hometown where roots run deep. If you’ve got a special connection to visiting Vero, then you also know. But finding Vero is reallllyyy something. It’s not a tourist destination. Vero is a quaint, seaside town with local flair. There is virtually no traffic, the beaches are pristine & wide open with no crowds. It’s filled with Mom & Pop business’s and hometown food. There is free parking everywhere and many family friendly activities. It’s easy to get to with major airports within a very do-able driving distance. There are world class hotels, cute boutique motels, and tons of airbnbs.
Amenities: Tree House has on site getting ready lounges, bathrooms, a catering kitchen, an open-air reception space, furniture (including tables, chairs & linens), a cute bar, an outdoor fire-pit and 10-acres of private property. As far as vendors go, this is where you need to decide what’s important to you. Are you an all-inclusive type of traveler? Or are you a DIY couple who likes to put the pieces together? At Tree House, we offer both. We can appreciate both styles & we know that different seasons of life & different types of family dynamics call for different methods. If you’re looking to simplify the wedding planning process and go with all-inclusive in-house services, we got you. We offer Wedding Planning, Wedding DJ, Wedding Bar, Wedding Florals, Wedding Catering, and more! If you are wanting to incorporate your favorite vendors and use who you want, we like that too! We can be as hands-on or as hands-off as you want us to be.

Handling Weather: With planning a Backyard Wedding comes the uncertainty of weather. You can’t predict the weather but you can be ready for anything! Our reception building is weatherproof, rain or shine, we are ready! With CLEAR roll down walls for inclement weather, the venue still has the same beautiful backdrop. The gardens are just a step out of the venue in any direction. As Florida weather comes & goes, you can go in and out of the building and still get to be outside. We typically roll down one wall and leave the others open so the natural breeze still flows. There is no need to rent a tent or worry about the chance of rain.
Locking in your Wedding Date: Tree House is a family owned small business. We limit the amount of events we do each year to ensure each one is handled with the utmost care. Our small team (of 5) personally handles all the details. You’ll talk/text us on our cell phones during your planning period and spend the day with us on Wedding Day. We can’t wait to meet you & show you the magic of our special backyard.
